Module: VDSL2-LINE-MIB
OID (symbolic): VDSL2-LINE-MIB::xdsl2LinePerfCodingViolationsThreshXtuc
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.10.251.0.11
Node type: NOTIFICATION-TYPE
Description: This notification indicates that the coding violations threshold has been reached/exceeded for the referred xTU-C.
What is xdsl2LinePerfCodingViolationsThreshXtuc?
This SNMP notification (trap) is sent when the count of coding violations on a VDSL2 line has reached or exceeded a configured threshold on the transmit channel unit at the Central office (xTU-C). Coding violations indicate errors in the Forward Error Correction (FEC) mechanism where received symbols could not be properly decoded, signaling line quality degradation. Network administrators configure this threshold and monitor these notifications to detect and respond to worsening xDSL line conditions before service is lost.
Examples
Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' VDSL2-LINE-MIB::xdsl2LinePerfCodingViolationsThreshXtuc snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.2.1.10.251.0.11
Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):
snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public
