Description: The Upstream Down-Shift Time Interval, to be used when xdsl2LConfProfRaModeUs is set to 'dynamicRa'. The interval of time the upstream noise margin should stay below the Upstream Down-Shift Noise Margin before the xTU-C shall attempt to decrease the upstream net data rate. The time interval ranges from 0 to 16383 seconds.

What is xdsl2LConfProfRaDsTimeUs?

This OID stores the time interval (0-16383 seconds) that noise must stay below a threshold before the modem automatically lowers the data rate on the upstream direction. A longer time means the connection is slower to adapt to degrading conditions; a shorter time reacts faster. A DSL technician would adjust this when tuning line stability to balance between speed and reliability.
