Description: The Downstream Down-Shift Noise Margin value, to be used when xdsl2LConfProfRaModeDs is set to 'dynamicRa'. If the downstream noise margin is below this value and stays below that value, for more than the time specified by the xdsl2LConfProfRaDsTimeDs, the xTU-R shall attempt to decrease the downstream net data rate. The Downstream Down-Shift Noise Margin ranges from 0 to 310 units of 0.1 dB (physical values are 0 to 31 dB).

What is xdsl2LConfProfRaDsNrmDs?

Sets the Downstream Down-Shift Noise Margin, in units of 0.1 dB: when dynamic rate adaptation is enabled and the downstream noise margin falls below this value and stays there for the time set by xdsl2LConfProfRaDsTimeDs, the xTU-R attempts to decrease the downstream rate to restore stability. An operator raises this threshold to make the line back off rate more readily when conditions worsen, favoring stability over top speed.
