Module: VDSL2-LINE-MIB

OID (symbolic): VDSL2-LINE-MIB::xdsl2ChStatusLSymb

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.10.251.1.2.2.1.9

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Unsigned32

Access: read-only

Description:

Actual number of bits per symbol. This parameter reports the actual number of bits per symbol assigned to the latency path in which the bearer channel is transported. This value does not include trellis overhead. The value is coded in bits. It ranges from 0 to 65535.

What is xdsl2ChStatusLSymb?

This is a numeric value (0-65535) showing the actual bits per symbol on the latency path of a VDSL2 channel. Higher values mean more data packed into each transmission symbol, directly affecting link throughput without trellis overhead. An operator uses this to confirm the line is achieving expected data rates and to identify rate degradation during noise or signal loss.
