Description: Maximum Data Rate on Downstream direction. The maximum net data rate for the bearer channel, coded in bit/s.

What is xdsl2ChConfProfMaxDataRateDs?

Sets the maximum downstream net data rate, in bits per second, the bearer channel is allowed to reach, effectively capping the service tier from above regardless of how much rate the loop could physically support. An operator uses this to enforce a subscribed speed ceiling (e.g. capping a 100 Mbps loop-capable line at the 50 Mbps plan a customer is paying for).
