Description: The format used by the client for the NAS-Port attribute (attribute number 5): xssssppp In the NAS-Port attribute (attribute 5) use format of 0 bit, followed by 4 bits for the slot number, 3 bits for the port number, and finally, the circuit number in the remaining bits. ssssxppp In the NAS-Port attribute (attribute 5) use format of 4 bits for the slot number, followed by a 0 bit, 3 bits for the port number and finally, the circuit number in the remaining bits.

What is usdRadiusClientNasPortFormat?

Selects the bit-layout used for the NAS-Port attribute (attribute 5): xssssppp(0) or ssssxppp(1, default), which differ in whether the slot-number bits or a spare bit come first, followed by port and circuit bits. An admin changes this only if the RADIUS server or accounting backend expects a specific bit ordering to correctly decode slot/port/circuit from the NAS-Port value.
