usdRadiusClientAlgorithm

Module: Unisphere-Data-RADIUS-CLIENT-MIB

OID (symbolic): Unisphere-Data-RADIUS-CLIENT-MIB::usdRadiusClientAlgorithm

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.4874.2.2.19.1.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: The algorithm used by the client when multiple authentication/accounting servers are configured: direct Use servers in order of precedence, each time beginning with the highest precedence server and proceeding to lower precedence servers if the the RADIUS request fails, until the request succeeds or all servers have been tried. roundRobin Use servers in round-robin order, each time beginning with the next round-robin-ordered server and proceeding cyclically through servers if the RADIUS request fails, until the request succeeds or all servers have been tried.

What is usdRadiusClientAlgorithm?

Selects how the router picks among multiple configured RADIUS servers: direct(0, default) always starts from the highest-precedence server and falls through on failure, or roundRobin(1) cycles through servers starting from the next one each time. An admin would switch to roundRobin to spread load across several RADIUS servers instead of hammering the top-precedence one.

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> Unisphere-Data-RADIUS-CLIENT-MIB::usdRadiusClientAlgorithm

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.4874.2.2.19.1.1.2.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> Unisphere-Data-RADIUS-CLIENT-MIB::usdRadiusClientAlgorithm.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.4874.2.2.19.1.1.2.1 i <value>
