usrChassisChassisAwareness

Module: USR-CHASSIS-MIB

OID (symbolic): USR-CHASSIS-MIB::usrChassisChassisAwareness

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.429.4.41.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: The value of this object determines if chassis awareness messages from the NMC are to be handled or not. If this object is set to `enabled' then when a chassis awareness message is received, the information contained within the message is used to update the chassis configuration. If this object is set to `disabled' any chassis awareness messages received from the NMC are ignored, and the configuration of the chassis must be set statically through SNMP sets, or CLI commands. To be able to SET this object usrChassisDSA must be 'enabled'.

What is usrChassisChassisAwareness?

Controls whether this chassis accepts chassis-awareness messages from the Network Management Card (NMC) to auto-update its slot configuration, or ignores them and requires the admin to configure slots manually via SNMP/CLI; usrChassisDSA must be enabled before this object can be set.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.429.4.41.3
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> USR-CHASSIS-MIB::usrChassisChassisAwareness

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.429.4.41.3.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> USR-CHASSIS-MIB::usrChassisChassisAwareness.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.429.4.41.3.1 i <value>
