What Is UBNT-MIB?
UBNT-MIB is the top-level enterprise MIB for Ubiquiti Networks, defining the base OID structure and root management objects under which all Ubiquiti product-specific MIBs (e.g. airMAX, UniFi, EdgeMax device MIBs) register, spanning Ubiquiti's wireless and networking product lines. It establishes the enterprise namespace and any shared top-level objects but does not itself define detailed functional managed objects like interface counters or environmental sensors. As a structural/root module it is not directly used to monitor hardware or software status; that role falls to the specific Ubiquiti product MIBs built beneath this OID root, which report device uptime, radio/interface status, and system health. It is a foundational dependency for every other Ubiquiti product MIB, which registers its objects under the OID branch this module defines, and a UBNT-MIB download typically comes bundled with the vendor's product-specific airMAX, UniFi, or EdgeMax MIB files rather than as a standalone package. It is deployed as a prerequisite MIB loaded before functional Ubiquiti device MIBs on Ubiquiti routers, switches, and wireless access points.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in UBNT-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Ubiquiti Networks product line, entire range (base enterprise OID registration, no data objects)
Monitoring Examples
No sample objects were provided for this MIB, consistent with it being a root enterprise-OID definition module rather than a source of runtime data; it anchors the namespace under which Ubiquiti's actual airMAX/UniFi/EdgeMax device MIBs define their monitorable objects.
