What is psAlarmString?
This read-only display string carries a free-text alarm or error message from the device, and is included as a variable binding in the device's temp-msg trap. Admins read it, alongside the device name, to see a human-readable description of what condition caused the notification to fire. As an illustrative example, psAlarmString might contain text such as 'Channel 1 over-flow' when a trap is sent after a sensor exceeds its measurable range.
