tunnelIfRemoteAddress
Module: TUNNEL-MIB
OID (symbolic): TUNNEL-MIB::tunnelIfRemoteAddress
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.10.131.1.1.1.1.2
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: IpAddress
Access: read-only
Description:
The address of the remote endpoint of the tunnel (i.e., the destination address used in the outer IP header), or 0.0.0.0 if unknown, or an IPv6 address, or
the tunnel is not a point-to-point link (e.g., if it is a 6to4 tunnel).
Since this object does not support IPv6, it is deprecated in favor of tunnelIfRemoteInetAddress.
What is tunnelIfRemoteAddress?
This deprecated object specifies the IP address of the remote endpoint where tunneled traffic emerges from an IP tunnel (the destination address in the outer IP header). It returns 0.0.0.0 if the address is unknown or if the tunnel operates over IPv6. Although deprecated in favor of the IPv6-capable tunnelIfRemoteInetAddress, this object is still used by systems managing legacy IPv4-only tunnels.
