Description:
The address of the local endpoint of the tunnel (i.e., the source address used in the outer IP header), or 0.0.0.0 if unknown or if the tunnel is over IPv6.
Since this object does not support IPv6, it is deprecated in favor of tunnelIfLocalInetAddress.
What is tunnelIfLocalAddress?
This deprecated object specifies the IPv4 address of the local (source) endpoint of a configured tunnel in the outer IP header, or 0.0.0.0 if unknown or if the tunnel is over IPv6. It is deprecated because it only supports IPv4 and has been replaced by tunnelIfLocalInetAddress. An operator consults this for legacy IPv4-only tunnels, but should use the newer address type to support both IPv4 and IPv6 tunnels.
