Module: TRAFFIC-TEMPLATE-MIB

OID (symbolic): TRAFFIC-TEMPLATE-MIB::hpSwitchTrafficGroupID

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.5.1.72.1.2.2.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-write

Description: The ID value of this traffic class group in the DCBX exchange. Only IDs 0-7 are allowed in a SET request. This setting is not supported on all devices.

What is hpSwitchTrafficGroupID?

This read-write value, from 0 to 15 (though only 0-7 are valid in a SET request), sets the ID of this traffic class group as used in the DCBX (Data Center Bridging Exchange) protocol, and the source DESCRIPTION notes this setting is not supported on all devices. An admin sets it to align a local traffic group with the priority-group numbering expected by DCBX-capable neighbor devices during data center bridging negotiation. For example, an admin building a lossless storage traffic group for FCoE would set this group ID to match the DCBX priority-group ID expected by the connected storage fabric.
