Description: Manages TP-Link switch HTTP web management interface port, access control, and session settings.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is TPLINK-HTTP-MIB?
TPLINK-HTTP-MIB is a TP-Link vendor-specific MIB for managing the switch's built-in HTTP/HTTPS web management interface, covering the listening port, enable/disable state, access control, and session parameters. It is a configuration and access-control MIB rather than a hardware sensor MIB, but it lets an administrator confirm the software status of the embedded web-management service, whether it is running, on which port, and how many/which sessions are permitted. This helps detect an unintentionally exposed or disabled management interface, a common security or availability concern on network edge devices. It has no strong dependency on other MIBs beyond TP-Link's own SSH and system MIBs, which together form the device's management-access surface. It is deployed on TP-Link managed switches wherever administrators want to audit or lock down web-based configuration access. Engineers can download the TPLINK-HTTP-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in TPLINK-HTTP-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- TP-Link managed switches
Monitoring Examples
An administrator polls the HTTP service admin-state object to confirm the web management interface is disabled on a hardened switch, or checks the configured HTTP port object to verify it has been moved off the default port 80. Session-limit and timeout objects are checked to ensure idle web sessions are terminated promptly, reducing the risk of an unattended management session being hijacked.
What Can Be Monitored
- HTTP/HTTPS service admin state
- configured management port
- access control list/allowed hosts
- session timeout and maximum session count
