Description: The value of tnSvcTlsBackboneSrcMac specifies the Backbone Source MAC-Address for Provider Backbone Bridging packets. If not provisioned, it defaults to the loopback chassis MAC-Address.

An inconsistentValue error is returned if an attempt is made to set this object when the value of tnSvcVplsType is not 'bVpls'.

What is tnSvcTlsBackboneSrcMac?

This configurable parameter specifies the source MAC address used for Provider Backbone Bridging (PBB) packets in a service tunnel environment. If not explicitly set, the system defaults to the loopback chassis MAC address, and it only applies when the service type is configured for Backbone VPLS (bVpls). Network engineers would set this value when provisioning multi-service backbone networks to ensure packets originate from the correct backbone interface.
