tnIPSourceGuardIfMode

Module: TN-IP-SOURCE-GUARD-MIB

OID (symbolic): TN-IP-SOURCE-GUARD-MIB::tnIPSourceGuardIfMode

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.868.2.5.31.1.1.2.1.1

Description: Set true(1) to enable or false(2) to disable the IP Source Guard function on the given port. Only when both Global Mode and Port Mode on a given port are enabled, IP Source Guard is enabled on this given port.

What is tnIPSourceGuardIfMode?

tnIPSourceGuardIfMode enables or disables IP Source Guard on a specific port, set true(1) to enable or false(2) to disable; it only takes effect when the device-wide tnIPSourceGuardGlobalMode is also enabled. An admin sets this per-port to control which interfaces enforce source IP/MAC filtering, typically enabling it on user-facing access ports while leaving trunk or uplink ports disabled. For example, an admin enables tnIPSourceGuardIfMode on a port connected to an untrusted workstation to prevent that host from spoofing another device's IP address.
