tnSapIgmpSnpgCfgRobustCount

Module: TN-IGMP-SNOOPING-MIB

OID (symbolic): TN-IGMP-SNOOPING-MIB::tnSapIgmpSnpgCfgRobustCount

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.7483.6.1.2.24.2.1.1.7

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Unsigned32

Access: read-write

Description: The value of the object tnSapIgmpSnpgCfgRobustCount specifies the robustness variable on this SAP.

This object allows tuning for the expected packet loss on this SAP. If a SAP is expected to be lossy, the Robustness Variable may be increased. IGMP snooping is robust to (Robustness Variable-1) packet losses.

The value of this object is only meaningful when the value of tnSapIgmpSnpgCfgSendQueries is 'enabled(1)'.

What is tnSapIgmpSnpgCfgRobustCount?

Tunes the IGMP Robustness Variable for this SAP so the snooping logic tolerates a configurable number of lost packets; raise it on a SAP known to be lossy, and note it only matters when tnSapIgmpSnpgCfgSendQueries is enabled.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.7483.6.1.2.24.2.1.1.7
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> TN-IGMP-SNOOPING-MIB::tnSapIgmpSnpgCfgRobustCount

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.7483.6.1.2.24.2.1.1.7.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> TN-IGMP-SNOOPING-MIB::tnSapIgmpSnpgCfgRobustCount.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.7483.6.1.2.24.2.1.1.7.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> tnSapIgmpSnpgCfgRobustCount.1
