tnEntSensorExtRelayEnabled

Module: TN-ENTITY-SENSOR-MIB

OID (symbolic): TN-ENTITY-SENSOR-MIB::tnEntSensorExtRelayEnabled

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.868.2.5.6.1.1.1.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: TruthValue

Access: read-write

Description: This variable enables or disables the relay contact if it is installed (tnEntSensorExtRelayInstalled) in the power supply. This relay contact is used to trigger an event to the user by attaching an external indicator.

What is tnEntSensorExtRelayEnabled?

This TruthValue enables or disables the relay contact on a power supply module, but only takes effect if tnEntSensorExtRelayInstalled confirms the relay hardware is present. Admins set it to true to have the relay trigger an external indicator, such as an audible alarm or light, whenever an event needs to be signaled beyond SNMP. For example, an admin sets this to true(1) on a redundant PSU so a wired external alarm fires if that supply fails.
