Module: TN-DEV-SYS-IP2-MIB

OID (symbolic): TN-DEV-SYS-IP2-MIB::tnIp2IntFallback

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.868.2.5.10.8.3.1.3

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-create

Description: The number of seconds for trying to obtain a DHCP lease. After this period expires, a configured IPv4 address will be used as IPv4 interface address. A value of zero disables the fallback mechanism, such that DHCP will keep retrying until a valid lease is obtained.

What is tnIp2IntFallback?

This read-create value sets how many seconds the device will attempt to obtain a DHCP lease before falling back to a statically configured IPv4 address. An admin uses it to guarantee the interface still gets a usable address for management reachability even if the DHCP server is unavailable, while a value of zero disables the fallback and makes DHCP retry indefinitely. Setting tnIp2IntFallback to 60 means if no DHCP lease arrives within 60 seconds, the interface reverts to its configured static tnIp2Addr instead of remaining unaddressed.
