Description: Defines TERRA Electronics broadcast equipment MIB object definitions and base identifiers.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is TERRA-DEFINITIONS-MIB?
TERRA-DEFINITIONS-MIB is a TERRA Electronics proprietary MIB defining shared textual conventions (built on the vendor's TERRA-SMI) used across TERRA Electronics' broadcast/transmission product MIB family. It carries no data objects of its own — as a structural MIB it exists solely so other TERRA Electronics MIBs can import consistent, reusable type definitions. It underlies the TERRA Electronics broadcast/transmission product family. Engineers can download the TERRA-DEFINITIONS-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in TERRA-DEFINITIONS-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- TERRA Electronics broadcast/transmission products
Monitoring Examples
A MIB browser loads TERRA-DEFINITIONS-MIB automatically when parsing another TERRA Electronics MIB module, resolving the shared custom data types those modules' objects are declared with.
