Description: Defines Tait TN9300 textual conventions for mobile radio management type enumerations.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is TAIT-TN9300-TC?
TAIT-TN9300-TC is a vendor-specific MIB from Tait, a manufacturer of land-mobile/two-way radio systems, that defines shared textual conventions, reusable enumerated types and data formats, used across the broader TN9300 MIB suite for its mobile radio base station/repeater equipment. As a textual-conventions-only module it carries no monitorable leaf objects of its own; instead it standardizes how status values, alarm codes, and configuration enumerations are represented so the companion TN9300 MIBs, which do expose real hardware/software status, can use consistent, well-typed data. Its relevance to monitoring is therefore indirect: it underpins the alarm, state, and configuration enumerations that the sibling TN9300 modules use to report equipment status such as transmitter/receiver health, alarm conditions, or operational mode. It is a direct dependency for essentially every other module in the TN9300 MIB family, which imports its type definitions. It is deployed alongside the full TN9300 MIB suite on Tait TN9300 mobile radio base station equipment. Engineers can download the TAIT-TN9300-TC file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in TAIT-TN9300-TC. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Tait TN9300 mobile/land-radio base station equipment
Monitoring Examples
There is no data to poll directly in this module; a management station's MIB compiler instead imports its textual conventions so it can correctly decode enumerated status/alarm values, such as radio channel state or alarm severity codes, reported by the companion TN9300 status and configuration MIBs. Without this module loaded, a management tool would be unable to properly interpret the typed values used throughout the rest of the TN9300 MIB suite.
What Can Be Monitored
- radio channel state enumerations
- alarm severity code definitions
- equipment operational mode enumerations
- status value type definitions used by the TN9300 suite
