Module: T11-IETF-IMSS-FC-VIRTUAL-FABRIC-MIB

OID (symbolic): T11-IETF-IMSS-FC-VIRTUAL-FABRIC-MIB::t11vfVirtualSwitchCoreSwitchName

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.0.1.2.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: FcNameIdOrZero

Access: read-only

Description: The Core Switch_Name (WWN) of the Core Switch that contains this Virtual Switch.

What is t11vfVirtualSwitchCoreSwitchName?

This read-only value is the Core Switch_Name, a WWN, of the physical Core Switch that contains this Virtual Switch instance. It lets an admin trace a given Virtual Switch or Virtual Fabric row back to the physical switch hosting it, useful in a management topology spanning multiple core switches. For example, an admin looking up VF_ID 5's Virtual Switch row would read t11vfVirtualSwitchCoreSwitchName to confirm which physical core switch, by its WWN, is actually running that fabric's switching function.
