Description: For end nodes, this is the Node ID. For switches, this is a Switch ID. If port is not configured, NodeID will be 0.
What is snetSwitchSANNodeID?
This read-only value reports the ID of the node connected to a given switch port: a Node ID for end nodes, a Switch ID for switches, or 0 if the port isn't configured. Admins use it to identify exactly which device is attached to a specific port without needing a separate physical inventory lookup. Its meaning (node vs. switch ID) depends on the paired snetSwitchSANNodeType value for that port.
