snetSwitchPerfStart

Module: SnetSwitch-MIB

OID (symbolic): SnetSwitch-MIB::snetSwitchPerfStart

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.169.8.3.2.4.1.1.9

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Setting this variable to 1 causes the request to start the performance count to be sent. The Types, Inports, Outports, and TimerInterval should all be set prior to setting Start. If they are not set, default values will be used. At a minimum, the TimerInterval must be reset to a value other than zero before a performance count will run.

What is snetSwitchPerfStart?

This read-write value, when set to 1, sends the request to start a performance count using the currently configured counter types, ports, and timer interval. Admins must configure the type, in/out port, and timer interval settings first, since if any are left unset, default values will be used instead, and at minimum the timer interval must be changed from its zero default. Setting this triggers the actual start of a measurement run rather than just preparing one.
