s3EnetRedPortSwitchoverStatus
Module: SYNOPTICS-ETHERNET-MIB
OID (symbolic): SYNOPTICS-ETHERNET-MIB::s3EnetRedPortSwitchoverStatus
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.45.1.3.2.3.3.1.8
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description: The switchover status of the redundant port pair.
The following values can be written: timedSwitchover(2)...Immediately causes the active port to become the standby port, and the standby port to become the active port. Then once the value of s3EnetRedPortSwitchoverTime has elapsed to zero, the ports revert back to their orignal roles.
The following values can be read: other(1).............The port is NOT undergoing a timed switchover. timedSwitchover(2)...The port is undergoing a timed switchover.
Notes: 1.) When writing timedSwitchover(2) to this object, the SET request must also specify a value for the object s3EnetRedSwitchoverTime.
2.) Once the timed switchover has taken place, the value of this object reverts from timedSwitchover(2) to other(1).
What is s3EnetRedPortSwitchoverStatus?
Timed-switchover state of a redundant pair: other(1) means none is under way, timedSwitchover(2) means one is. Writing timedSwitchover(2) immediately swaps active and standby, then the roles revert once the switchover time has counted down to zero; the SET must also supply that time (the source misspells the time object's name), and the value returns to other(1) afterward. Useful for a temporary failover test.
