smHealthMonitorMonitor

Module: SUPERMICRO-HEALTH-MIB

OID (symbolic): SUPERMICRO-HEALTH-MIB::smHealthMonitorMonitor

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.10876.2.1.1.1.1.10

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: TruthValue

Access: read-write

Description: Indicates the monitoring status for the Fan device that are currently in use on the managed device. 1 = monitor, 2=do not monitor

What is smHealthMonitorMonitor?

A read-write boolean-like setting controlling whether this fan device is actively monitored, with 1 meaning monitor and 2 meaning do not monitor. This lets an admin disable monitoring for a specific fan slot that may be intentionally empty or unused, preventing a false failure alarm for a fan that was never expected to be present. An admin with an empty fan slot in a partially populated chassis would set this to do-not-monitor for that slot to avoid a persistent false alarm.
