pduIdentSerialNumber

Module: SPSv1-MIB

OID (symbolic): SPSv1-MIB::pduIdentSerialNumber

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.42610.1.4.4.1.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: DisplayString

Access: read-only

Description: A Model of this device.

What is pduIdentSerialNumber?

This holds the PDU's serial number as a read-only string (despite the MIB's description literally saying "A Model of this device", the object index and naming make clear it is the unit serial number, not a model name). Admins poll it to build an inventory of PDUs across racks without needing physical access to each unit's label.
