sonusNrsVirtExtRouterEnable

Module: SONUS-IP-INTERFACE-MIB

OID (symbolic): SONUS-IP-INTERFACE-MIB::sonusNrsVirtExtRouterEnable

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2879.2.3.1.1.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: The Virtual External Router administrative status. The value 'enabled' denotes that Gateway IP addresses will be advertised with one associated with each active PNS link and that learned routes will not be readvertised (to prevent routes through us). The value 'disabled' denotes that routing will operate as usual.

What is sonusNrsVirtExtRouterEnable?

Toggles the Sonus Virtual External Router feature: when enabled, each active PNS (peer network signaling) link advertises its own gateway IP and learned routes are not readvertised, avoiding routing loops back through this box. Leave it disabled (the default) unless you specifically need this virtual-router redundancy behavior on a signaling gateway.
