Module: SONUS-IP-INTERFACE-MIB

OID (symbolic): SONUS-IP-INTERFACE-MIB::sonusNifBwDeviation

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2879.2.3.1.1.3.2.1.19

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-write

Description: The deviation between actual and expected NIF bandwidth in percentage of the overall NIF bandwidth. If actual bandwidth is greater than the expected bandwdith plus deviation amount, a trap will be set and the trap will be only cleared when the actual bandwidth dropped below the expected bandwidth. If the actual bandwidth is lower than the expected badniwdth minus 2 times of deviation amount, a different trap will be set and the trap will be cleared when the actual bandwdith reaches the expected bandwidth.

What is sonusNifBwDeviation?

The allowed percentage deviation (0-100, default 0) between a NIF's actual and expected bandwidth before a threshold-crossing trap fires; exceeding expected-plus-deviation raises one trap, dropping below expected-minus-twice-deviation raises a different one. Tune this to control how sensitive bandwidth alarms are for that interface.
