Module: SONUS-ALARM-CONTACT-MIB

OID (symbolic): SONUS-ALARM-CONTACT-MIB::sonusAlarmOutStatStartDelay

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2879.2.1.6.1.2.1.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: SonusBoolean

Start Delay is a programmable time period that when the Shelf boots, alarm events will NOT trigger the corresponding alarm contact.

It is intended to mitigate nuisance alarms when a shelf is first started.

What is sonusAlarmOutStatStartDelay?

sonusAlarmOutStatStartDelay is a read-only SonusBoolean reporting whether this alarm contact is currently within its programmable start-delay period (during which alarm events won't trigger the relay), intended to mitigate nuisance alarms right after the shelf boots. Admins check this to understand whether an alarm relay's apparent inactivity is because it's still in its post-boot hold-off window rather than because there's genuinely nothing to alarm on. For example, seeing this value as TRUE shortly after a shelf restart tells the admin the relay is intentionally suppressed by the start-delay timer, not silently broken.
