sonusAlarmOutAdmnStartDelay

Module: SONUS-ALARM-CONTACT-MIB

OID (symbolic): SONUS-ALARM-CONTACT-MIB::sonusAlarmOutAdmnStartDelay

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2879.2.1.6.1.1.1.6

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-write

Description: Start Delay will hold the outbound relays in reset for the time period(seconds) specified. This is intended to mitigate nuisance alarms when a shelf is first started.

What is sonusAlarmOutAdmnStartDelay?

sonusAlarmOutAdmnStartDelay is a read-write Integer32 (0-300 seconds, default 120) holding the outbound relays in reset for this many seconds after the shelf starts, intended to mitigate nuisance alarms during startup. Admins tune this to avoid spurious alarm relay activations while the shelf's subsystems are still initializing. For example, an admin seeing false alarm triggers immediately after a shelf reboot might increase sonusAlarmOutAdmnStartDelay above its 120-second default to give more subsystems time to stabilize first.
