sonusAlarmOutAdmnOperState

Module: SONUS-ALARM-CONTACT-MIB

OID (symbolic): SONUS-ALARM-CONTACT-MIB::sonusAlarmOutAdmnOperState

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2879.2.1.6.1.1.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: SonusAdminState

Access: read-write

Description: If enabled, the relay will respond to system events by opening and closing.

If disabled, then it will be left in the default state of 'Clear', where clear is relative to the 'sense' assigned to the relay. The default sense is Normal, which means a closed relay is considered in the alarm state.

What is sonusAlarmOutAdmnOperState?

sonusAlarmOutAdmnOperState is a read-write SonusAdminState, defaulting to enabled, controlling whether this outbound alarm relay actively responds to system events by opening and closing, or stays parked in its default 'Clear' state (relative to the relay's configured sense) when disabled. Admins disable this on relays they don't want wired equipment to react to, for example when the physical relay contact isn't connected to anything. For example, an admin without physical alarm-panel wiring on the 'user-5' relay might set sonusAlarmOutAdmnOperState to disabled so that relay stays in its clear state regardless of system alarms.
