sonusAlarmOutAdmnCutoff

Module: SONUS-ALARM-CONTACT-MIB

OID (symbolic): SONUS-ALARM-CONTACT-MIB::sonusAlarmOutAdmnCutoff

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2879.2.1.6.1.1.1.7

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Cutoff will cause the outbound relay selected to be set to its alarm clear state, relative to the relay 'sense' setting. This allows the customer to disable an alarm after it has been set by some system event. Cutoff is a one shot event, which does not inhibit future additional alarms on that relay from occuring.

Alarm Relays DO NOT automatically clear, and must be cleared manually with this feature.

What is sonusAlarmOutAdmnCutoff?

sonusAlarmOutAdmnCutoff is a read-write INTEGER (true or false, default false) that, when set to true, forces the selected outbound relay into its alarm-clear state as a one-shot action, letting an admin manually silence an active alarm without it re-triggering automatically for future events; the MIB notes alarm relays do not clear automatically and must be cleared this way. Admins use this to acknowledge and clear a physical alarm relay after investigating the underlying condition, since the relay otherwise stays latched in alarm indefinitely. For example, after resolving the issue that tripped the critical alarm relay, an admin sets sonusAlarmOutAdmnCutoff to true(1) on that relay to manually clear it.
