What is wanStatPortModemSignal?

A bitmask reporting the current state of the port's modem control signals -- DCD(1), CTS(2), DTR(4), RTS(8), DSR(16) -- where a set bit means the signal is asserted. An admin decodes this to troubleshoot hardware handshaking problems, e.g. a missing DCD bit while supposedly connected points to a carrier-detect wiring issue.
