wanModemDialPrefix

Module: SBE-MIB

OID (symbolic): SBE-MIB::wanModemDialPrefix

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1055.2.5.1.2.17

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: DisplayString

Access: read-write

Description: Default value on nX: empty On nX: both ram and flash, field trial 1

This is set by the user. It contains the modem's dial command (e.g. ATDT or ATDP) possibly suffixed with the dial prefix, if any, to obtain an outside phone line. (Note that the user could include the dial prefix in the Destination Phone Number instead.) For example, at SBE this would be set to '8' if the nX product's phone lines were inside lines. This string is long so it can include other items, such as billing codes, if necessary. (Will contain codes to differentiate V.25 dialing from ATDT dialing.)

What is wanModemDialPrefix?

Holds the modem's dial command (e.g. ATDT or ATDP) optionally suffixed with a prefix needed to reach an outside line, such as '8' for a PBX. During dialout, the unit prepends this string to the destination's phone number to form the full dial command.
