wanDefaultDialinSubnetMask

Module: SBE-MIB

OID (symbolic): SBE-MIB::wanDefaultDialinSubnetMask

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1055.2.5.1.2.5

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: IpAddress

Access: read-write

Description: Default value on nX: all zero Default value in Workshop: 1's, based on Default Dialin IP Address class On nX: both ram and flash, field trial 1

If the Default Dialin IP Address is used, this object is used as its Subnet Mask. Subnet masks allow the user to divide the local network into sub-networks by specifying a subnet mask. The subnet mask, combined with the Dialin IP Address field, determines which frames (packets) are sent across the WAN port during dialin. The subnet masks are all 1's from the left for a specified number of bits. On Workshop, the subnet mask will be entered as a number of bits from 0 to 32.

What is wanDefaultDialinSubnetMask?

The subnet mask applied to wanDefaultDialinIPAddress, used to determine which frames get routed across this WAN port during a dialin session. Workshop defaults it to an all-1s mask sized to the address's IP class, though the nX device itself applies no such default.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1055.2.5.1.2.5
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> SBE-MIB::wanDefaultDialinSubnetMask

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1055.2.5.1.2.5.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> SBE-MIB::wanDefaultDialinSubnetMask.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1055.2.5.1.2.5.1 a <value>
