syBridgeFilterFlag

Module: SBE-MIB

OID (symbolic): SBE-MIB::syBridgeFilterFlag

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1055.2.2.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Default value on nX: 'all' On nX: both ram and flash, field trial 2

This value indicates the bridging rule for this nX product, whether to include or exclude packets for the protocols indicated in the Bridge Sub-Table. If the value is 'all', all protocols will be bridged. If the value is 'include', only the protocols listed in the Bridge Sub-Table are to be bridged over this port. If the value is 'exclude', all packets except for the protocols listed in the Bridge Sub-Table are to be bridged.

What is syBridgeFilterFlag?

Selects the bridging rule applied against the protocol list in the Bridge Table: 'all' bridges every protocol, 'include' bridges only the protocols listed in syBridgeTable, and 'exclude' bridges everything except those listed. An admin uses 'exclude' to block a specific legacy protocol like IPX from crossing the bridge while passing everything else.

Examples

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1055.2.2.2
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> SBE-MIB::syBridgeFilterFlag

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1055.2.2.2.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> SBE-MIB::syBridgeFilterFlag.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1055.2.2.2.1 i <value>
