mgrTimeoutForMACProtocolResponses

Module: SBE-MIB

OID (symbolic): SBE-MIB::mgrTimeoutForMACProtocolResponses

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1055.2.8.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Default value on nX: 5 On nX: both ram and flash

This object specifies the number of seconds Workshop will wait for a response for a message sent to an nX product before assuming that the packet was lost. If this time elapses, Workshop will resend the packet. Normally this time will be very short, but if the nX product and Workshop are separated by slow WAN links, the time will have to be increased. The nX product does not use this value.

What is mgrTimeoutForMACProtocolResponses?

Sets how many seconds (1-30, default 5) the Workshop management application waits for a reply to a message sent to this nX unit before assuming the packet was lost and resending it. An admin managing a unit across a slow WAN link would raise this value to avoid unnecessary retransmissions.
