Description: The total number of good packets received that were directed to the broadcast address. Note that this does not include multicast packets.
What is etherStatsBroadcastPkts?
This OID holds a counter of successful broadcast packets received on a network segment (those sent to all devices, not just one). Monitoring this shows how much broadcast traffic is on your network; high values may indicate excessive network chatter. A network operator tracks this to diagnose if one device is flooding the network with unwanted broadcasts.
