falconInput6State

Module: RLE-FALCON-MIB

OID (symbolic): RLE-FALCON-MIB::falconInput6State

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.3184.1.1.1.3.6.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: The state of use of Input Number 6. When a sensor is connected to Input 6 set State to installed(2) to indicate that the value of falconReading6 is valid. When no sensor is connected to Input 6 set State to notInstalled(1) to indicate that the value of falconReading6 may not be valid. This variable is stored in non-volatile memory.

What is falconInput6State?

Read-write installation-state flag for physical Input 6 (notInstalled(1), analog-4to20-installed(2), digital-no-installed(3), or digital-nc-installed(4)); an admin sets it to analog-4to20-installed(2) (or the appropriate digital normally-open/normally-closed value) once a real sensor is wired to Input 6, which tells the agent that falconInput6Reading now holds a valid value -- leaving it at notInstalled(1) means that reading may be meaningless (e.g. a floating/unterminated input).
