Description: An index that describes the order of packets that are received on a particular interface. The packetID of a packet captured on an interface is defined to be greater than the packetID's of all packets captured previously on the same interface. As the captureBufferPacketID object has a maximum positive value of 2^31 - 1, any captureBufferPacketID object shall have the value of the associated packet's packetID mod 2^31.
What is captureBufferPacketID?
Sequence number describing the order in which packets were received on the monitored interface; every packetID is greater than all previous ones on that interface (wrapping modulo 2^31), letting an admin reconstruct original packet ordering across capture downloads.
