ospfVirtNbrOptions

Module: RFC1248-MIB

OID (symbolic): RFC1248-MIB::ospfVirtNbrOptions

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.13.11.1.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: A bit map corresponding to the neighbor's options field. Thus, Bit 1, if set, indicates that the neighbor supports Type of Service Routing; if zero, no metrics other than TOS 0 are in use by the neighbor.

What is ospfVirtNbrOptions?

This is a bit-mapped field reporting the virtual neighbor's advertised capabilities, where bit 1 set means the neighbor supports Type of Service routing beyond just TOS 0. Admins rarely need to inspect this directly, since most modern deployments only use TOS 0 and this bit stays clear.
