ospfVirtIfHelloInterval
Module: RFC1248-MIB
OID (symbolic): RFC1248-MIB::ospfVirtIfHelloInterval
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.13.9.1.5
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: HelloRange
Access: read-write
Description: The length of time, in seconds, between the Hello packets that the router sends on the interface. This value must be the same for the virtual neighbor.
What is ospfVirtIfHelloInterval?
This sets how many seconds pass between Hello packets sent over this virtual link, defaulting to 10 seconds, and must match the value configured on the virtual neighbor. Admins verify both ends agree on this value first when a virtual link fails to come up, since a mismatch here prevents the adjacency from forming.
Examples
Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.13.9.1.5 snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> RFC1248-MIB::ospfVirtIfHelloInterval
Get a specific instance (index 1):
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.13.9.1.5.1 snmpget -v2c -c public <target> RFC1248-MIB::ospfVirtIfHelloInterval.1
Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):
snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.13.9.1.5.1 s <value>
