ospfAreaRangeStatus
Module: RFC1248-MIB
OID (symbolic): RFC1248-MIB::ospfAreaRangeStatus
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.13.5.1.4
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: Validation
Access: read-write
Description: This variable displays the validity or invalidity of the entry. Setting it to 'invalid' has the effect of rendering it inoperative. The internal effect (row removal) is implementation dependent.
What is ospfAreaRangeStatus?
This shows whether an area address-range summarization entry is currently valid or invalid; setting it to invalid renders the entry inoperative. Admins use it to disable a summarization range without necessarily deleting the row, for example while testing whether removing a summary affects reachability.
