rptrPortSecurityLockAddAddress

Module: REPEATER-REV4-MIB

OID (symbolic): REPEATER-REV4-MIB::rptrPortSecurityLockAddAddress

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.1.1.1.4.3.9.1.1.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: OCTET STRING

Access: read-write

Description: Setting a value to this object will cause a new entry to be added to the rptrPortSecurityListTable. When read this object will display an OCTET STRING of SIZE 6 with each octet containing a 0.

In general it is possible to add addresses at anytime. However there are several instances where the firmware and or hardware can not support the operation. In these instances an error will be returned if a addition is attempted.

What is rptrPortSecurityLockAddAddress?

Setting this to a 6-byte MAC address adds that address to this port's list of locked/allowed source addresses (rptrPortSecurityListTable); reads always return all-zero octets since this is a write-triggered action, and some firmware/hardware combinations may reject an addition attempt with an error.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.1.1.1.4.3.9.1.1.4
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> REPEATER-REV4-MIB::rptrPortSecurityLockAddAddress

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.1.1.1.4.3.9.1.1.4.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> REPEATER-REV4-MIB::rptrPortSecurityLockAddAddress.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.1.1.1.4.3.9.1.1.4.1 s <value>
