rcIpConfOspfAreaAggregateEffect
Module: RC-OSPF-MIB
OID (symbolic): RC-OSPF-MIB::rcIpConfOspfAreaAggregateEffect
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2272.1.8.1.10.1.6
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description: Subnets subsumed by ranges either trigger the advertisement of the indicated aggregate (ad- vertiseMatching), or result in the subnet's not being advertised at all outside the area.
What is rcIpConfOspfAreaAggregateEffect?
This read-write object controls what happens to subnets covered by an OSPF area range: advertiseMatching (default) advertises the aggregate, doNotAdvertiseMatching suppresses advertisement of the matching subnet entirely, or advertiseDoNotAggregate advertises without aggregating. An administrator sets this to doNotAdvertiseMatching to hide certain internal subnets from other areas.
