Description: The number of octets contained in AAL5 CPCS PDUs received on the AAL5 VCC at the interface identified by the ifIndex.
What is rbnXAtmAal5VclInOctets?
This counts the total number of bytes contained in AAL5 CPCS PDUs received on this ATM virtual channel connection, giving a byte-level view of inbound traffic volume rather than just a packet count. Administrators use it for throughput and capacity calculations on the circuit, since byte counts translate more directly into bandwidth utilization than packet counts alone. Dividing the growth in this counter over a time interval by that interval gives an admin the circuit's actual inbound throughput in bytes per second.
