rbnFSGroupMode

Module: RBN-SSE-MIB

OID (symbolic): RBN-SSE-MIB::rbnFSGroupMode

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2352.2.48.1.1.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: Operational mode. diskRedundancy Each hard disk on a single file-server card will mirror each other, and when one fails, the other will take over automatically. networkRedundancy One file-server is mirroring the other in the same chassis. One of the file-servers will be in active state while the other is standby or backup. nonRedundant One or two hard disks serving as generic disk.

What is rbnFSGroupMode?

This object reports the operational redundancy mode of a File Server Group: diskRedundancy(1), where each disk on a single card mirrors the other; networkRedundancy(2), where one file-server card in the chassis actively mirrors another acting as standby; or nonRedundant(3), using one or two disks as generic storage with no redundancy. An admin reads this to understand what level of failure the group can tolerate. For example, a group in nonRedundant(3) mode would have no automatic failover if its disk failed, unlike one in diskRedundancy(1) or networkRedundancy(2) mode.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2352.2.48.1.1.1.3
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> RBN-SSE-MIB::rbnFSGroupMode

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2352.2.48.1.1.1.3.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> RBN-SSE-MIB::rbnFSGroupMode.1

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> rbnFSGroupMode.1
