Description: The total number of pre-limited octets transmitted out of the interface, including framing characters.
Discontinuities in the value of this counter can occur at re-initialization of the management system, and at other times as indicated by the value of ifCounterDiscontinuityTime.
What is rbnQosIfOutOctets?
This counter tracks the total pre-limited octets transmitted out of a QoS-enabled interface, including framing characters, i.e. the traffic volume before any outbound rate limiting is applied. Admins compare this to rbnQosIfOutDroppedOctets to see what fraction of outbound traffic is being shaped away.
