rbnIcrState

Module: RBN-ICR-MIB

OID (symbolic): RBN-ICR-MIB::rbnIcrState

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2352.2.101.1.1.1.11

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: The current ICR state:

- 'initialize', which indicates that the node is in the process of deciding its role(active or standby).

- 'active', which indicates that the node operates as ICR active node.

- 'standby', which indicates that the node operates as ICR standby node.

- 'pendingStandby', which indicates that the node(previously in 'active' state) is waiting for operator intervention to transit to 'standby' state after ICR switchover.

What is rbnIcrState?

This read-only enumerated value reports the ICR node's current operational state: initialize(1) while deciding its role, active(2) when serving as the ICR active node, standby(3) when serving as the standby, or pendingStandby(4) when a formerly active node awaits operator intervention to transition to standby after a switchover. Admins poll this to confirm which chassis in a redundant pair is currently forwarding traffic. Seeing pendingStandby(4) after a failover would tell an admin manual action is required to complete the transition back to standby.
